For example, they might change their name, make reasons, or find a new way to make money. Despite being a thief, Hari Singh went to Anil and pretended to be someone else. Anil, who had a strong belief in the inherent goodness of people, hired Hari out of pity and compassion. Anil trusted him completely and didn't bother to verify any financial transactions, giving Hari an opportunity to change for the better. However, Hari did steal money and returned to Anil knowing that he was aware of his actions but chose not to confront him. This act made Hari realize that he needed to abandon his deceitful ways.
